PROSTOROŽ
Prostorož at
MATERIAL BAR
For the past 20 years, the interdisciplinary collective Prostorož has been exploring how we use shared urban environments. Through extensive participation of local communities, they create playful public spaces in dialogue with their users and the environment. They created a new public space on the terrace of Villa Bagatti Valsecchi and opened a discussion with programmatically and ideologically similar local organisations. They have invited the urbanist Valeria Lorenzelli, the MIC-HUB team and the group Sai che puoi. Visitors are invited to join them at the bar to discuss current issues in spatial design and architectural practice in general.

Founded in 2004, Prostorož is a non-profit urban planning studio dedicated to the research and understanding of open urban spaces. The interdisciplinary collective consists of architects, urban planners, social scientists and technical collaborators whose expertise enables a multidimensional approach to the challenges facing both small and large cities. Their projects transform streets into squares, revitalise forgotten spaces, engage local communities and create opportunities for new uses of public space.
